In this video, I will show you how I make a rose pendant lamp out of paper cups. This project is quite challenging, in that it requires some patience in constructing a rose, and there are 12 to be made for the lampshade. It is a great effort to make the best out of waste.
It is important to wait for the glue gun to heat up completely in order for the cups to bind, possibly because the high heat is required for glue to penetrate the waxy surface of the cup. The low temperature melted glue will not work well. You may also find it difficult to curl the petal at the beginning. However, it is only a matter of practice. Your working speed will pick up dramatically after a couple of roses.
