FREMONT , Calif., July 3 (UPI) -- Police in Fremont , Calif. , say a gas station clerk was struck in the face by an energy drink can flung by two men who stole a box of condoms from the shop. Sgt. Chris Mazzone said the getaway vehicle used by the thieves had been located but no arrests had yet been made , the San Jose (Calif.) Mercury News reported Tuesday. Mazzone said a dark green Toyota Camry pulled up to the mini mart at U.S. Gasoline at about 3:35 a.m. Two men exited the car and walked into the store , one asking the clerk for a box of condoms and the other browsing the drink cooler , the sergeant said. He said the man at the counter attempted to haggle with the clerk over the price of the condoms until the second man arrived and threw a can of Rock Star energy drink at the clerk , striking him in the face. The two men took the condoms and drove off, Mazzone said. Police said the owner of the car, which was found at a nearby apartment complex , said she drove three men to the gas station , but did not know them.
