Russia says Dagestan militant chief killed

MOSCOW discount ugg boots, June 26 (UPI) -- The Dagestan government announced Saturday that a leading militant commander had been killed in a skirmish with police earlier in the day. Dzhamalutdin Dzhavatov was identified as the leader of the Karamakhin organization and had been blamed for a June 24 attack on a police patrol that left two officers dead in the Russian republic. Deputy Interior Minister Magomed Ismailov told the RIA Novosti news agency that Dzhavatov died in a police operation in the Karabudakhkent district of Dagestan. The Kremlin has been locked in a running battle with militants in Dagestan and other republics in the mainly Muslim North Caucasus.Topics related articles：
