There are some cases where words don’t quite do a handbag justice. This is definitely one of those cases. I’ve been seeing lots of mustard hues on the racks lately,luxury diary, on everything from sweater dresses to scarves. I haven’t really felt particularly compelled by any of these pieces, because this color just doesn’t play well with my coloring. It can easily wash out many people, but can also be quite flattering to others. This Cole Haan Crosby Snake Print Archer bag is a great choice for those who don’t want to wear it in large doses. While I like a little glitz as much as the next girl, I can’t decide if this Botkier Ava Crossbody Snake Bag might be just a skosh too much. The snake-print leather on its own would be lovely, and a nice bronze crossbody is certainly something I’d carry, but the combination of the two resulting in shimmery, shiny, glinting snakeskin seems like overkill. Maybe I’d wear it in Vegas… once. Which certainly doesn’t justify the price tag. I am kind of feeling that tassel detail, though. What do you think? Available for $445 at Neiman Marcus.
